Obesity is a serious problem in the United States and 1 in 3 Americans are overweight. Because of our lifestyles, most of us do not eat properly or get enough exercise. As we age, these factors will impact just about every aspect of our lives.
With instruction and direction and a whole lot of motivation, we can make improvements that can make us healthier. Exercise is one of the keys to wellness. The next question is – how to get started? And when you do- what do you do? I believe that everyone can benefit from exercise- both cardio and strength training and I have spent the last 8 years both instructing and motivating beginners.
Everyone needs to start somewhere. The most important factor is finding what works for you, without injuring yourself or overwhelming you.
The proven benefits of regular exercise:
Weight loss and/or weight control
Improved mood
Better control of blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes
Improved muscle tone and stronger bones
Enhanced appearance
Empowerment
Biking, walking, swimming, running, yoga, aerobics, and weight training are all great ways to get and stay in shape, and a gym membership can benefit anyone. However, if you want help getting started or require one-on-one instruction because of your schedule, I can come to you. I will design and implement a work-out program for your specific needs and preferences, in the privacy of your own home.
You’re taking the first and most important step toward wellness. Therefore, you want both a program and trainer who will inspire you and help you achieve your goals, every step of the way.
